In Rune Slayer, each character belongs to a special Species. Every Species looks different and comes with unique powers. Some Species are very common (like Humans), while others are rare (like Dullahan). Picking a Species adds flavor to your character and can affect how you fight monsters and explore the world.

What Are Species and How Do They Work?
- Race or “Species”: This is your character’s origin. It can give you extra damage, healing, speed, or other cool perks.
- Passives and Actives: Each Species has passive abilities (always active) and sometimes an active ability (you trigger it when you need it).
- Rarity: Common Species (Human, Elf, Orc) are easy to get. Rare or Epic Species (Slime, Half-Golem, Dullahan) are harder to find and often have bigger bonuses.
- Changing Species: You can reroll (costs Robux) or buy a new character slot if you want a different Species.
In short, Species are like special backgrounds that give your character advantages in battle and help you stand out from other players.
Extra Notes
- You start with a random Common species (Human, Elf, or Orc).
- To get a different species, you can reroll (costs Robux) or buy a new character slot (also costs Robux).
- Some species are rarer than others and have special features or evolutions.
- Each species can be good in any class, but some do better with certain playstyles (for example, Elves are great at magic or ranged fighting; Half-Golems are very tanky).
Enjoy testing these species! Mix them with your favorite class to discover the best combos for you. Stay safe, have fun, and keep exploring Rune Slayer!
